Baptism

Going public with your faith

The Bible clearly teaches that Baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Christ. Baptism allows a believer to communicate to the world their heartfelt commitment to Christ. People often have questions regarding baptism: why should I be baptized? I've already been baptized. Do I have to do it again? Does it matter if someone is sprinkled or dunked? Take a few minutes to read these facts about baptism.

We believe that those putting their trust in Christ should repent of their sins and confess their faith. We believe that every believer should be baptized as an act of obedience and devotion. We believe that baptism is a powerful public symbol of the death to self and new life in Christ. (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38-39; Romans 6:3-4)

We do not administer baptism to infants or to children who have not confessed faith in Christ, nor do we baptize by any mode other than immersion.

We would ask any believer who has not been baptized by immersion to submit to that New Testament form before becoming a member of Living Water. (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38-39; Romans 6:3-4)

We want you to experience baptism by going public with your decision to follow Jesus. If you are ready to take this step, we’re here to guide you through the process.
